Testimonials

Having had the pleasure of working with Piia and her team for over 10 years, I can honestly say that we have been through a lot together. Piia, and Pineapple Tweed under her leadership, have been and are a trusted partner that have been there for us every step of the way. Piia handles all our PR and community positioning; and she is an integral partner on our project awards pursuits, as well as the quarterly voice of our company newsletter “Sketches”. Her perspective on current issues is highly valuable. While the scope she provides is customized to our architectural business, (which we love!) it is HOW she does her work: Piia and her team are always accessible, always represent us with the utmost professionalism, and always have a positive, can-do attitude. We truly could not be in better hands. AHL considers itself fortunate to have Piia and her team as key supporters of our business.

Piia Aarma and her company Pineapple Tweed have been our PR consultants for over 9 years. Piia has been instrumental in developing our web and social media presence, as well as assisting with marketing our company through press releases, community events, helping pen articles in local magazines and assuring that our company is recognized for its achievements. Piia has been more than a PR consultant. She has provided many opportunities for our company and lead executives to be recognized, Including successfully applying for and receiving awards from the BBB, recognizing one of our partners as a “Woman Who Means Business 2017” and many other awards and recognitions. Piia has also coordinated our renewable energy grants for a number of Hawaii schools, managed blessings and press events for development projects and guided my acceptance as a board member of the Hawaii Nature Center. Piia has proved to be invaluable to our company and a major contributor to our success.

Pineapple Tweed has been a transformational partner in our efforts to ensure all keiki are ready for kindergarten. Through an engaging campaign tailored to Hawaiʻi parents and caregivers, Pineapple Tweed is teaching families that “Little Minds Matter.” Pineapple Tweed’s multifaceted strategy has helped us to deliver this important information when and where families need it most. Mahalo, Pineapple Tweed, for your commitment to Hawaiʻi’s children and families!

Every organization’s success depends on its ability to communicate powerfully to its customers, but internal biases often dampen the process. Pineapple Tweed’s differentiating value is their ability to objectively understand market subtleties and resonance, initiate exciting and innovative ideas and strategically map action to overarching marketing goals. Having worked with multiple Silicon Valley and international marketing/PR agencies, I can attest Pineapple Tweed’s value is bar none. They don’t just get your message out, they get your most powerful message out.

Hawai‘i Center for Food Safety (HCFS) is a nonprofit public advocacy organization that offers capacity-building trainings and opportunities to community organizers and small nonprofit organizations working to advance Hawai‘i’s grassroots food movement. Public speaking and media interviews are essential tools for advocates working to raise public awareness and grow support for any issue. We invited Pineapple Tweed to train 30 organizers in interview skills and best practices to empower them to be more effective spokespeople. Pineapple Tweed’s insightful and professional training de-mystified the interview process and equipped participants with practical tips for success. Drawing from real examples, Piia covered the “dos and don’ts” for interviews, and engaged participants in fun roleplaying exercises to hone their skills. By the end of the training, participants were highly satisfied and felt motivated to carry their new skills into their media and community outreach work. Several participants who felt intimidated about media interviews prior to the training shared that they now have increased confidence and a more positive outlook on public speaking. After this training, the grassroots food movement is much better poised to communicate our messages clearly, concisely and authentically. Thank you for this transformative training Pineapple Tweed.

Whether its designing a strategic plan or connecting industries across sectors to amplify a client’s message, Piia Arma and her team of pros at Pineapple Tweed deliver – always. Strategic thinking + Trackable Results + First Class Work Ethic = Pineapple Tweed.

Piia and Pineapple Tweed are awesome! We met Piia just before launching my first startup, GreenCar Hawaii, and she was a savior. She guided us through a number of key marketing and PR pitfalls, saving us from some critical early missteps and saving massive amounts of time. Her reputation and relationships were immense in helping to connect us to a number of key advocates, influencers, and customers. Besides all that, Piia is someone we just enjoyed having around. If I were still in Hawaii, Piia and PT would definitely be on our team.

Pineapple Tweed introduced our new cash and carry food service outlet concept to Hawaii by building buzz, and kicked off ChefZone’s grand opening with a blitz of PR media coverage that had tremendous reach to get us established in the community.

When we launched our fundraising campaign about the need to purchase the mauka lands of the Ka Iwi coast, Pineapple Tweed was recommended to us. It was a match made in heaven. The firm participated in our campaign from start to finish, coordinating media coverage, planning pitches and helping develop marketing materials. We couldn’t have asked for more personal, friendly and thorough PR professionals. Pineapple Tweed understands the market in Hawaii and understands people.

I reached out to Piia because in my role as a professional I realized at some point I may need to speak with the press and wanted to put my best foot forward. I recognized I would need help with polishing my delivery, presence and relationship with the press. Piia did not disappoint. She worked with me to prepare a polished and professional style so I could respond to questions professionally, accurately and with confidence. Her training was thorough and knowledgeable about my profession so that I could present myself as a credible resource. Piia truly cares about the people she works with. I have not had a better more meaningful experience since. I would recommend Piia at Pineapple Tweed to anyone. She’s truly the best!

I have known Piia and Pineapple Tweed for 20+ years and worked with her multiple times over the decades relying on her expertise and knowledge of the Hawaii business and communications/PR network. In addition to Piia just being fun and and pleasure to work with, she brings an Aloha to the effort that truly sings Hawaii!  Many Mahalos, yet again Piia!
